5:30-6:30pm

Artists Wai Ching Chan and Tessa Ma’auga welcome the contributors of Kāpuia ngā aho 單絲不綫 to speak about the collaborative installation within the exhibition. Individuals of Chinese descent were invited by Wai and Tessa to contribute an object and a statement expressing their experiences of being Chinese and their opinions about fostering harmonious relationships. These items are suspended on Chinese knots made from harakeke, forming a constellation of shared and divergent experiences. This kōrero will create space for contributors to talk about their objects and share connections to their whakapapa.

This event will take place online via zoom.
