LAUNCH EVENT: Correspondence 3.2
24 July. Free entry.
Correspondence 3.2 is here!
Join us at The Physics Room on 24 July from 5:30 – 7pm to celebrate the launch of Correspondence 3.2. After an introduction from editor Orissa Keane, we will hear from contributors Juanita Hepi and Keita Newbery, followed by kai.
Correspondence 3.2 stems from the words 'resistance', 'action', and 'solidarity'. Contributors responded to these ideas in the context of the genocide taking place in Gaza and local and global reactions to this ongoing event. Java Bentley, Ayla Collin, Juanita Hepi and Keita Newbery each relate to Palestine through a connection to whenua and through whakapapa to Papatūānuku. Protest posters in the centrefold, created by Mengzhu Fu and Huriana Kopeke-Te Aho, are designed to be removed and pasted straight onto cardboard ready to take to a Pro-Palestine rally or placed in public view. After the readings there will be cardboard and wheat paste available for turning your posters into placards.
Take part in the launch celebration and reading events across the motu in July and August 2024.
