09 November 2019. Free entry.

Join FIKA Writers for readings of responses to Two Oceans at Once. Hear from internationally acclaimed poet Tusiata Avia, and FIKA members: Ana Mulipola, Stephanie Oberg, Siobhan Kahu McMillan, Isla Martin, Danielle O’Halloran-Thyne, and Sarah Maindonald.

FIKA Writers are a collective of Christchurch Pasifika creatives whose members meet to give energy to the practice of storytelling through writing, poetry, prose, and performance.

Through collaboration and exchange, FIKA maintain a sense of oral tradition and work to strengthen the voices of Pasifika peoples within Canterbury.

The collective is led by three of FIKA's Christchurch-based founding members Danielle O'Halloran-Thyne, Stephanie Oberg, and Ana Mulipola.

A zine and podcast of the performance will be available following the event.

FIKA Writers would like to thank Khye Hitchcock for design work and Audrey Baldwin and The Physics Room for producing the zine and podcast.
