An afternoon of Domino Domino

Saturday 20 June, 2:30pm – 4:30pm

Please join us and the artists from Domino Domino for an afternoon of public programming in response to the exhibition. Phoebe Hinchliff, Daniel Shaskey, and Luke Shaw will each present opportunities for further insight and engagement with their work. Light refreshments will be provided.

2:30 – 3:00pm

We'll be opening up the back of the gallery to view of Phoebe Hinchliff's double-channel moving image work, which is part of the Mush Zone II installation. This is an opportunity to see the projection as it was presented in Sympathetic Resonance at The Suter Art Gallery Te Aratoi o Whakatū.

3:00 – 3:45pm

Join Daniel Shaskey for a writing workshop in the gallery where he will present prompts for participants to respond to. These prompts will draw on some of the ideas in Daniel's chapterised publication, System to System, including feedback loops and the unseen relationships we share with publications, objects, and spaces. The participants' responses will be compiled by Daniel to become part of the final chapter of System to System.

4:00 – 4:30pm

Luke Shaw will present a live sound performance that responds to the repurposed space of The Physics Room gallery and the site-specific recording of Metal Body: Ghost Field at The Suter Art Gallery Te Aratoi o Whakatū.
