Nicola Farquhar is showing 'Brother Rabbit' and 'Brother Duck' in the Penny Sport Cycles site on Manchester Street, from January 5th 2003.

Farquhar's distinctive character families now include the larger-than-life felt duo, 'Brother Rabbit' and 'Brother Duck'. This Hamilton based artist, lecturer and web designer has taken the display case aspect of these installations and produced a work which not only challenges perceptions of our visual relationships with retail frontage, but also shunts her characters into a 24 hour limelight: Brother Rabbit and Brother Duck caught immobile in the crafty weaving of felt cloth, and hanging loftily in their prime positions, overseeing the goings-on within the display cabinet.
