The Physics Room Residency Programme
The Physics Room Residency was established in 2014 to provide temporary studio space and accommodation for visiting artists, curators and cultural practitioners in Christchurch. The residency complements our exhibition programme, providing artists with the opportunity to develop new work in a different environment and to play a role in stimulating and strengthening the local arts community. The residency programme aims to foster meaningful exchanges and establish networks between artists, curators, writers, institutions and communities.
Previous residents include Alejandro Haeik-Coll (Elam School of Fine Arts International Artist in Residence, Venezuela), Brad Haylock (Melbourne), Ash Kilmartin (Melbourne), Tim Wagg (Auckland), Field Theory (Melbourne), Abby Cunnane (Auckland), David Clegg (New Plymouth).
The Physics Room would like to acknowledge the support of Creative New Zealand.
